Spiderman Repeats

 

     ‘The Spiderman’ Nick Tubbs of Colby made it two wins in a row in racing action Saturday night, May 5, at RPM Speedway in Hays, KS.

     Salina’s Austin Carter took the early lead in the Advantage Glass Plus IMCA Stock Car main event, trailed by Eric Kinderknecht and Tubbs. Tubbs worked his way to second on lap 3, then passed Carter on the outside on lap 13 in the 20-lap race to make his second appearance in a row in victory lane at RPM Speedway. Carter finished second, followed by Jason Rogers, Kinderknecht, and Dustin McClurg. Heat race winners were Carter and Pat Bedore.

     Beloit’s Brian Calhoon started outside pole of the Teel’s Trucks IMCA Modified feature and was not to be denied as he led all 20 laps of the caution free event. Rodger Peck finished in the runner-up spot, followed by point...
